The completion of National centre for renewable energy sources brought the modernization of the following laboratories and devices:

Hydrotechnic laboratories

The hydrotechnic laboratory has been equipped with multipurpose modular duct, which can be used to model and optimize complex hydraulic phenomena within the objects of small hydropower plants.

Laboratory of environmental engineering

Total carbon amount analyzer is used to measure the amount of organic carbon in liquid and solid samples. In addition it can be used to measure total inorganic carbon and total nitrogen bound in these samples.

Laboratory of renewable energy sources and quality of electric power

Technical platform cold-heat is technological equipment for trigeneration of electricity, heat and cold using the special unit structurally integrated into the building of the National Center for Research and application of renewable energy sources. Input carrier of energy is natural gas for cogeneration unit.

Laboratory of anaerobic fermentations

Bioreactor unit for enzyme and microbial optimization is used in optimization of fermentation processes of aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms and for monitoring of biocatalytic enzymatic processes. This kit is used for optimization of process, which leads to the production of high energy fermentation products.

Laboratory of photovoltaic measurements

Impedance meter is used for impedance spectroscopy of materials and material structures of solar cells and research of transport processes in these materials.

Laboratory of modelling and simulations of multiphysical problems

ANSYS Software can be used for computer solving of engineering problems related with renewable energy sources. This includes particularly the computer models and simulations of fluid flow (ANSYS CFX), the role of electro-thermo-mechanical stresses associated facilities, structures and other engineering analyzes, which can be solved in the area of renewable sources using computer technology.
