Completion of National Center for Research of Renewable Energy Sources

Energy plays a key role in our society. On energy depend all sectors of human activity such as: housing, transport, industry and agriculture. Currently, increased energy consumption is no longer solely associated with the idea of ​​progress, but also with the concerns about the environment. Risk of depletion of fossil fuels, especially oil, are a key source of these concerns.

It is becoming more acceptable that renewable energy will play an important role in the energy sector in the near future. Paradoxically, renewable energy sources were the backbone of the power systems for most of human history.

The goal of the project is to increase the research potential of the center as well as its socio-economic value.

The specific objectives of the Centre include the following:

1. ensure the continuing effective operation and management of the center
2. increase the potential of research by equipping the center with instruments and devices necessary for the implementation of ongoing and planned projects
3. equip all research sections with ICT infrastructure
4. enhance socio-economic added value center of excellence

Nowadays is the center of excellence an institutional unit that is continually growing, evolving and requiring management to fulfill its vision and objectives.

The basis of operation of the center is the efficient management in all its areas – from top management bodies of the Centre, through the definition and updating of its basic strategic goals and research agenda, to activities that focus on human resource development.
